Friday. 3 weeks since baby came to us. He has grown so much. Moved out of newborn diapers, outgrown some clothes, cheeks have filled out, and having much longer awake times. Amazing the transformation in such a short time. It is an absolute treasure to enjoy the blessing of a baby. The home of the potential adoptive parents has been licensed so as soon as it can be coordinated he will leave. Probably Monday or Tuesday. Yesterday Todd observed that baby is turning his head towards my voice. Another reminder for me that he needs to leave so he can bond with adoptive mom. Never once have I thought of myself as his mommy. It's always, "Nina loves you.". I'm his Nina. Will always and forever love him.
J is such a delightful 3 year old. He has enjoyed having Gram & Gramps here this week. He picked Gram to go back with him when he had his dentist appointment. That didn't last too long. When I heard tears "Meana" as my adoring husband likes to refer to me as went back & traded places with Gram. Poor guy. Has at least an hour's worth of work to be done. Truthfully I'm not sure he knew how to brush his teeth when he moved in. He's a quick learner. Camille has him spitting like a champion. Made it thru that appt & will go in a couple of weeks to have the work done.
Fun to have Gram & Gramps here, even if they did have their RV parked outside the house. We have at least 5 spare beds but since I'm , Meana, and won't let their dogs come in, there's the RV. Hard to relate to since my dog is way low on the totem pole. Right now she's a whisper away from finding a new home. Todd managed to fix the fence so she's not pestering the neighbors with her daily escapes. Just one more element for the Stanfield Funny Farm(love u Becky)!
