Can't believe that Camille Elizabeth turned 7 today. I told the fam we could talk about her birthday all we wanted but let's not emphasis the being 7 part. Pancakes for breakfast, played the Wii with Lucas. When Madeline finally got up, present time. It just so happened that I spent at least an hour at Sam Moon yesterday. It was the baby's supervised visit day. Todd didn't want me going to the cps office in ft worth so I said I'd meet them halfway. Well, sam moon happened to be halfway & a place she knew. What I'm sure she didn't know was that I stayed there & shopped the whole time. Couldn't help it, have to keep Todd happy knowing that I'm all safe & sound. And Sam Moon even has a security guard on duty. That's one if those stores to just visit every once in a while. It was weird shopping by myself. Kept thinking I needed to do a head count or I heard a baby cry & got an odd sense. It was a glimpse of what it will be like when the baby is gone. Being able to sleep through the night might make the missing him part not be so bad but I doubt it. Sleep or sweet baby. Gotta love him.
In our house we started the tradition of hiding presents. While this is a lot of fun now, it merely started out because I didn't have anything to wrap a present with or didn't feel like wrapping. So we hide the presents. Camille had 15 new hair bows & 1 new hat to find. Love that quality Sam Moon time. She did say, where's the toy. Ahh, my little pet shop stuff still rules so she wasn't let down. Best part was her uncoaxed thanks and her sweet smiles. She sure is growing up.
Got a sticker book in the mail from grandparents so she immediately wanted to write a thank you. She asked if I had any special paper. My eyes lit up with an ah-ha moment. I pulled out my monogrammed notecards. She smiles with her big snaggle tooth grin. She asks if I named her the way we did so we could have the same initials. I said, no, it just happened all special. She was very pleased about that. Me, too.
