I am exhausted, so just a few thoughts as to my day. I am blessed with many close friends in Texas who have become my extended family when my family is unable to be here. Everyone rallied today & we gave a great going away party for KK & Z. Camille is a great party planner. She also loves having a built in audience for Justin Bieber karoake. Thanks my sweet friends for being here for all of us.
Got almost everything packed. Only cried 3 times. Dropping Z off at daycare for the last time. Bringing treats to KK at school to share with her friends. Luckily I had my sunglasses with me and she thought nothing of me wearing them. And then, just when I think I'm just too tired from the past 2 months and am glad to be getting back to a little normal, Kara arrives and brings a ratty looking monkey key chain. My tears fall again. Kara is a super friend of Madeline's and we pick her up for school every morning. Monkey has been attached to Kara's bag and each morning she takes it off because Z wants to hold it. What a priceless gift of love from such a sweet friend. Z loves that monkey and I am so proud of Kara for giving it to him, even if it did make me cry. God's love is shown in so many ways. Today I am thankful for friends.
