Temporary Home

I've been a Carrie Underwood fan since her American Idol debut. We've always had her songs but when Temporary Home came out, it touched my heart. I fully believe in heaven and what a wonderful place it will be. When Madeline had to make a poster and one of the things on it was "What I fear" her answer was dieing. I had to pull out the Carrie song and we went over the chorus.
"This is my temporary home It's not where I belong Windows and rooms that I'm passin' through This is just a stop, on the way to where I'm going I'm not afraid because I know this is my Temporary Home."
We are definitely heaven bound. Slipping in our travels at time but striving to do God's will.
I'm cleaning the bathrooms this morning and we are listening to Temporary Home and I am overcome with emotion. Why had I never considered my house as being the temporary home? The windows & rooms that she is passing thru. I am so thankful for home and that we can share it with God's lil angel, A.

"Little boy, 6 years old A little too used to bein' alone Another new mom and dad, another school Another house that'll never be home When people ask him how he likes this place He looks up and says with a smile upon his face"

And that is exactly the blessing that A is to us, because as I listened to this song, I see this sweet spirit skipping in my kitchen. Thank you God for sending me messages in ways it may take me a while to see.

I love your stories; so glad you are doing this (the foster care and the blog); you are putting everything into the perspective that God intended. I love the song "Temporary Home" too, but NEVER thought about it that much until now. Thank you for enlightening me!! Happy Thanksgiving to your family! Keep the stories coming, they are so sweet and humbling!
